New accounts get 3 free boosts to try it with. After that they're bought — cheaper per boost than Cfx.re's, and they don't run out.
Boosts order the Boosts board and nothing else. The player-count rankings are ordered by live players read from the Cfx.re feed, and no amount of boost changes that number.
